Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

Bisogo Sports (“Bisogo”, “we”) is an online marketplace where players find and book sports courts in the Philippines and venue operators manage their schedule. This policy explains what personal information we collect, what we do with it and the choices you have. We handle it in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and a password (stored only as a hash). If you sign in with Google or Facebook we receive your name, email address and profile picture from them, and nothing else.
  • Bookings: the name, phone number and email you give when you book, the venue, court, date, time, price, and the booking’s status and history.
  • Payments: whether a booking is paid and how (for example GCash, Maya or QR Ph). Payments are taken by our payment provider, PayMongo. We never see or store your card or e-wallet credentials.
  • Venue operators: the organization and venue details you enter, the team members you invite, the payout account (account name and number) where we send your earnings, and the compliance documents you upload (a government-issued ID and proof of operation). Those documents are kept in private storage and are seen only by Bisogo’s review staff.
  • Technical information: your network (IP) address and the approximate city your connection comes from, used to show nearby courts, to limit abusive requests, and to find faults. We record anonymous steps of the booking journey (such as a search or a completed booking) to see where players drop off.
  • Your messages to us: anything you send to hello@bisogo.ph.

Why we use it

  • To create your account, keep you signed in and secure it.
  • To make, confirm, change and cancel bookings, and to show the venue who is coming.
  • To email you confirmations, reminders, password resets and other messages about your booking or account. We do not send marketing email without asking you first.
  • To process payments and pay venues their share.
  • To review and approve venues before they are listed, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
  • To measure and fix problems with the service.

Who sees it

A venue sees the name, phone number and email of the people who book it, because it has to run the booking. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run Bisogo, each for its own purpose:

  • Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database), where the service and its data run.
  • Cloudflare (file storage for venue photos and compliance documents).
  • Brevo (sending our emails).
  • PayMongo (payments).
  • Sentry (error reports; we configure it not to send personal data, cookies or request contents).
  • Google (Maps, Google sign-in if you choose it, and measuring our advertising for venue owners, see Cookies) and Meta (Facebook sign-in if you choose it).

Some of these providers process data outside the Philippines. We may also disclose information when the law or a valid order requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

Visit counts

To learn which pages people use and which of our ads bring venue owners, we count visits ourselves. A public page you open sends us the page address, the website that sent you (only its name), your approximate city and region from your connection, whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer (a category only, never the browser details themselves), and, if you arrived from an ad, the campaign tags on its link. We do not store your IP address, and pages whose address contains a private link, such as a booking, are never counted. If you then sign up as a venue owner, we keep the campaign tags with your account so we can see which ads work. This uses your browser’s own storage, not cookies.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that the site needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, and a setting that remembers your light or dark theme. We do not show advertising to players and do not track players across other sites. Google Maps, when it loads, may set its own cookies. On the pages written for venue owners (the “List your venue” pages and the confirmation after signing up) we also load the Google tag, which sets cookies so that we can tell which Google ad led an owner to sign up. It receives the page address (with email addresses removed), not your name or booking details.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while it is open. Booking, payment and payout records are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax and dispute purposes, even after an account is deleted, but they are then no longer linked to you by name where we can unlink them. Technical logs are kept for a short period.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to have it deleted or blocked. To delete your data, follow the steps on our data deletion page. For anything else, email hello@bisogo.ph and we will reply within a reasonable time. You can also complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

Security

Connections to Bisogo are encrypted, passwords are hashed, private documents are kept out of public view, and staff access is limited by role. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

Bisogo is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. A parent or guardian should make bookings for younger players.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above. Questions about privacy: hello@bisogo.ph.
